Why Columbus?

I get asked "Why Columbus?" Well, here's my answer.

I moved back to Columbus in November 2016. I knew I always wanted to come back to Columbus for my adult life. See, I am not a native Columbus-ite. I was born in Toledo, OH and lived on the south side of Indy (Southport) until 2nd grade. But I call Columbus my hometown. It has been where I have lived the longest.

I really truly love Columbus. It might have it quirks of a small-big town. I mean it seems like you can always find one person in common with a stranger but we have two Walmarts. I wasn't itching to get out of Columbus in high school, I knew it was a great place to live. As I said, I am not native to Columbus. I do not have any family that live in Columbus (I don't have that much family any ways but that is another story). So I rely on my friends to be my family in Columbus. My parents weren't big in Columbus and I wasn't an all-star in high school. Combine that with my lack of family, you could wonder why I love Columbus.

But I do. I wanted to share with other Columbus-ites and Hoosiers (gosh it still pains me to say that for people living in Indiana, Boiler UP!) that Columbus can be an AWESOME place to live. I drew my inspiration from many sources; podcasts, RD blogs, friends, and Facebook. I saw what the #celebratecolumbus show could do for Columbus. Now, I will not be near as fancy, but I want to share my experiences in Columbus. And how I live a healthy, happy, and exciting life in Columbus, IN.
